In Memory...

If you've run the Wichita Marathon in recent years, you have definitely been cheered on during that last mile down Douglas Street by Trish Bajaj. And her family. And Ashok's family. And their co-workers. And Ashok - after he had finished his long run or 20+ mile bike ride.

We were deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Ashok and Trish Bajaj, two dedicated runners and triathletes. They, and their families, have been a major part of our Wichita Marathon Volunteer Team.

Two wonderful friends are greatly missed.

The mile between markers 25 and 26 will now be known as the "Bajaj Memorial Mile."
